Host Homes

• The Department uses host homes on occasion to provide an independent living experience for our youth aged 16 years and over. A host home is a living arrangement whereby a non-relative agrees to rent a room to a youth. The adult’s role is to provide independent living training to the youth. Adults serve more as mentors than parents. Youth living n host homes receive a monthly stipend of (to be determined) to cover their rent.
